Air Fryer Apple Fries - Healthy Sweet Appetizers & Perfect Fall Food

When the leaves start turning golden and that cozy autumn chill hits the air, it’s time to break out one of my favorite Cozy Fall Food RecipesAir Fryer Apple Fries! Think crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and perfectly sweet with a cinnamon-sugar hug. Oh, and when you dunk them into warm caramel sauce? Game over. You’ve officially entered fall dessert heaven.

These apple fries aren’t just a treat — they’re one of those Healthy Sweet Appetizers that double as a fun snack for the whole family. The secret? A quick coat of crushed graham crackers mixed with cinnamon and sugar, then let your air fryer do the magic. You get all the sweet crunch without the deep-fried guilt. Win-win, right?

For this recipe, I swear by Gala apples. They’ve got that ideal balance of juicy, crisp, and sweet — perfect for Air Fry Apples With Cinnamon or any Air Fried Fruit Recipes you’ve been dying to try. But hey, IMO, apple choice is a personal thing. Want a little tang? Go for Granny Smith or Pink Lady. Prefer your fries extra sweet? Try Fuji or Honeycrisp. Basically, if you love it in a pie, it’ll shine here too.

And let’s talk versatility — these apple fries fit in everywhere. Serve them as a Caramel Apple Snack Idea for game night, pack them up for a Healthy Air Fryer Lunch, or even top them with Apples and Yogurt for a quick breakfast twist. Kids go crazy for them too, making this one of those perfect Kids Air Fryer Recipes that actually get eaten (no bribery required).

So grab those apples, fire up your fryer, and get ready to make one of the easiest, most addictive stuff to make with apples you’ll ever try. Warning: you might “accidentally” eat the whole batch yourself — but hey, no judgment here!

Ingredients

For the Apple Fries:
  • 3 large Gala apples
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
For the Caramel Dipping Sauce:
  • 1 container of caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy prep and cleanup.
  3. Prepare the apples: Peel, core, and slice each apple into 8 wedges. Set aside.
  4. Place the flour in a medium bowl. Beat the eggs and pour them into a shallow dish. In another shallow bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs with the sugar until well combined.
  5. Coat the apples: First, toss each apple wedge in flour to lightly cover. Next, dip the floured wedge into the beaten eggs. Finally, roll the apple in the graham cracker and sugar mixture until evenly coated. Place coated wedges on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Lightly oil the bottom of your air fryer basket. Arrange apple wedges in a single layer — don’t overcrowd. You’ll need to cook in batches. Spray the apple wedges with a quick mist of oil.
  7. Air fry the apples at 380°F for 5 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 2 minutes until golden and crisp.
  8. Heat the caramel sauce: Pour the sauce into a microwave-safe bowl and warm until pourable. Serve alongside the apple fries for dipping.
